What makes Lunate different
Almost every night guard sold over the counter is a sports mouthguard with a different label on the box. Soft rubber, built to absorb one hard hit. Nobody re-examined that material for grinding.
Grinding is the opposite problem. It's slow steady pressure for hours, and soft material collapses hardest exactly where you bite hardest, so the force ends up on the two or three teeth that make contact first.
Lunate is made from a firm, load-dispersing thermoplastic. It takes the exact shape of your arch and holds it, so every tooth is in contact at once and the force gets shared across all of them.
